Can you imagine anything more beautiful than sleeping in your loved once lap and looking into her eyes. Well I ( I is narrator of this story, not yours truly ) can't. If heaven happens anywhere, it is there. It feels like those 2 beautiful eyes are the only thing on the earth to look at. They are full of love and care for you.

Yes, that is exactly what I was doing, sleeping in her lap with my eyes glued at hers. Telling about her, she was so beautiful and type of girl you would look at her face first then noticing other part of body. A well sculpted face, with her head covered by silk like hairs, which you start doubting if they are real or not- if ever you get chance to tough them ( i was lucky bastard to do that ). I think when god created her, he had only pink color in hand. There were only few part of her body which were not pink ( which I am not interested to list here ) and lips were unprecedented winners. A perfect looking nose just fit well between those big sharp eyes and her pinkest lips.

If we talk about rest of her body, I can say she can put menka on shame with her curves. I am sure even oldies with no testosterone left in the body will not miss looking at her. Overall, she was angel, inhuman. And I was lucky enough ( bastard -that's what other thought of me ) to have her as my loved once. I was meeting her after 3 fucking months. That was the longest I was away from her in our 4 year relationship. Passing a day without seeing her face was like deadliest thing I can imagine, and here I had to spent 3 months. 90 fucking days. Thanks to cheap phone calls, I at-least had privilege of listening her sweet voice. But you never get enough in love, not to mention sex included.

So this was it, I was on cloud number nine. There was lot to talk about, but that can wait. We had more important things to take care of, and soon we were out of our clothes. Our body just craved for each other. we crushed each other totally, and our body got drained of any energy it had at the end of it. We did passionate love that day, got wild. It was raw sex, but it was among the best love making season. the one you remember as loving memory and not just as lust after years. And what more you want from life, when most beautiful girl you have ever seen is your girl-fiend. Just the feeling of having her is so exciting.

I whispered in her ears, "I love you more than anything on this earth."
she, "and I love you more than you love me".
me, "really?"
she, " yes, I cannot imagine myself without you. you are the best thing in my life. Just don't leave me ever or I will die crying for you". with a hint of tears in her eyes. I knew she mean it. She really love me more than I do.
me, "ohh come on honey, God forgot to create beauties after you was born. So do not worry, I have nothing better to leave for. "
No matter how many time we repeat the same conversation, it always feel fresh. We were mad for each other, and nothing can separate us. Nothing.

Someone just punched me out of no where. And I heard a loud laughter, a boy was laughing at me. It felt like he is about to kill me with that laugh. I was out of sense, just sat there numb. My mind stopped thinking or doing any work at all. Soon I had nausea, my hands were trembling. I wanted to cry, but there were no tears in my eyes. there was blood, anger and pain. A lots of pain. With every passing seconds, the pain and the laughter were getting heavier. I just kept staring at that screen. I didn't believe my eyes then, I still can't. That was the ugliest truth I have ever faced. It felt like it is better to get killed than reading this. It was not making any sense.

How the hell can this happen?? and why? why ? and why?
and then it followed by every Q starting with W.
when? where? why?

there was her mail box open in front of me on laptop. And one of the chat box read:

Rishabh, " I loved those 2 days at Abu"
Trisha, " me too, you were best. :wink: "
Rishabh, "Oh thanks, means there are others also?? just kidding "
Trisha, "you were my first. No others."

After 10 deadly minutes I was back to somewhere near consciousness, and only word that came out of my mind was "Slut".

where the life is heading

Was just reading my old posts about MBBS, and my eyes popped out of my eye sockets. ( No need to call dear, I am just joking ) How the hell I wrote all those things?? Feeling nostalgic even though I never liked being student of MBBS. And that's enough to make me write after like a 100 years. Yesterday just watched Rockstar. Cannot say superb awesome movie, but still I liked something about it. Maybe the attitude of Jorden towards the society. Something I also wanted as one of my character. Above all the sad tome of film made me love it. It can be the reason I am writing this post today.

Photography stuffed made me so busy these days that I even forgot that I have a blog. This time no planning about writing reg, because I am very bad at keeping promises ( beware girls :P ) . Lets see....

When I remember being student of 12th, going to tuition school on my khatara luna , the first thing which comes into my mind is, IS that hard work paid?? IS MBBS worth this hard work? Today I am about to make my steps in professional photography, ( do you know my photographs will be featured in femina wedding special issue?? :( you should have known this ) I ask this Q to myself, what if I had taken admission in Eng?

Something in life always haunts you, NO matter how hard you try they remain with you . Dream of becoming Eng and Going to IIMA is the thing for me. Looks like I have 0 chance of doing any of it. But at-least when one day I will be working as pro photographer I will be happier than the docs I studied with. I always dreamed of doing something creative, something different, something just like that...hope is with photography now.

Will say bye bye now...But before I publish this post I will like to say one thing. 8 years back, I used to write diary- same time, same season ( winter nights with cold breeze blowing ) I feel like I am young again ( waise abhi itna bhi oldie nahi hua hu )

Is current Lokpal bill strong enough to protect the citizens??

Today I read in TOI editorial section that the lokpal bill introduced in the parliament on Tuesday hardly focus on the protection of whistleblower and citizens from the corruption of which on bureaucracy is spared of. We cannot afford to let him be unhappy, visit to police station and government offices are next to hell. In such a situation rather than focusing on the including prime minister under lokpal bill what common man want from the representative of the common man is to give attention to the issues which have more impact on the protection of citizen from the corruption. Even RTI act don’t provide enough protection to the activists. In 2010 only 10 RTI activists were murdered. These ruthless corrupt people also get police support to execute such heinous crimes. I have heard from thousand of mouths that we should better act, but when the policy makers are determined to lock your hands how is it possible for us to raise it against corruption? I wish the anna team better focus on such issue rather than trying to give sleepless nights to the ministers and politicians. Will copy the sentence here from news paper “the best is often a sworn enemy of the good”

What boys hate as boyfriend from their girl friends

This post is basically for boys, but if by any chance if the subject did not offended any girl, she will get some life saving tips out of this post. Intention of this post is pure fun, but I really don't care if I am hurting someone. This is my blog and I am not famous enough that news channels like "ab se tej" "aaj ki taja chai" start including me in their news bulletin in case my shit is not yellow or I forgot to zip my pant. So I am enjoying the freedom to express.

Everybody fall in love at some point of time. If someone says, No I haven't. beware of him/her you have just meet the biggest liar available on this planet. Actually truth is opposite of it, nobody even fall in love with such guy/girl. Reason can be anything from ugly look to "I am the best" attitude.

So How your love story started does not matter, it follows same path once it is started. Girls start acting like a boss, she don't like if you don't allow her to talk too much with other boys-because they are just friends when a little hint of any other girl in your life can make all the hell break. So much is talked on this, you can watch "pyar ka punchnama" for better understanding of "what happens once you are in ~~love~~ relationship"

1. As we doctors often say ( which is hardly followed by anyone) "prevention is better than cure" You need to act smart when you are in the phase of "pataying" the girl. Yes girls expect you to fulfill all the day dream you showed her to attract her. So beware before you say, I can do anything for you. Don't get shocked when she don't allow you to watch movie with your bachelor friends, go out with them for food. But affection is such a blind thing, you cannot resist saying all cheesy things to her. It is like a sweet for diabetes patient. You just want it, no matter what long lasting effect it have on you.

2. "where are you?" a delay of 5 min in reply and you are gone. what the hell yaar??? didn't she keep you on waiting for 30 minutes when you asked her to meet? or didn't she took her time to reply to your early massages during the phase of "we are friends what to do now? " come on tell her, she is important for you. but that does not mean you are not engaged in other work. Your mother loves you more than her, but how many time she scold you for delay in reply? you cannot even remember when such thing happened last time. Make this clear during your falling in love phase. Once you are in relationship, her expectation from you will sky rocket. But at the same time, you also have to give her some space. In short, forcing things upon each other never works in any relationship.

Just be yourself at every phase starting from friendship to marriage. Never try to present yourself as someone very good and caring. If by default you are like that it is good. But if you are not don't make an effort to show yourself as " I can give my life for you". let her fall in love with "real" you not "fake" you. Later you can always blame her " I am like these always, you should have never fall in love with me" :P

Love is to increase the happiness in life. So any thing apart from it are side effects of love, some of which can be avoided. Girls come with one very big problem. They tend to ask questions you never have answer for. You love me more or your mother?? what will you do if I am dying and only if you give your heart I will able to live life. ( this is a warning, start finding other girl, she really want you dead) go to hell, what kind of question are these?? Do I look like a politician?? when they will need an expert committee to answer these questions. Make sure by telling her that you hate all such emotional things, so if she is smart enough she will never ask you these questions.

3. You are not allowed to say anything against her family, not even against her "puppy" or those best buddies from her school days who have nothing else to do except irritate people like you by keep calling your gf and promising her which you cannot give her. At the same time she can say anything about your friends, your cloths and even about you.

Here is something for girls, Yes it hurts very much when you start getting close with other boys. For you it can be "just friends" but you dont know how painful it is for boys. And yeah inscribe the next sentence in your mind, Do not ever try to compare your bf with your other friends. Believe me we boys never compare our gf with any other girls. Once we have a gf , she is everything. Comparing her is out of question. It is you girls who first compare us with other boys, and then come up with problems like, he used to do this for me why can't you do it for me?? Yes he did it for you, because he is a boy and You cannot ignore the fact that maybe he also want to be your bf. He can also have liking for you and yeah if he has done something which your bf cannot he have not done any great thing. He have to do it once, while your bf is always there for you doing all things for you starting from sending you "miss you love you " massage to ride thousands of kilometers just to see your face. So a little help from someone start making you compare your bf with what someone guy, you don't deserve to be in love. Yes, if he is so nice why don't you fall in love with him in first place.

I am taking the risk of offending some of my very good girls as friend with this post, but girls take it easy... I love you (like I hate you). If after reading this someone can still love me, I am sure I will not face above mentioned problems.

Why Indian should not be given any financial aid by world bank

Food and Drug Capacity Building Project

Procurement officials appeared to have employed favouritism when awarding contracts to bidders that failed to meet performance criteria while disqualifying other bidders that apparently met, or could have met, the criteria. In addition, the DIR found potentially fraudulent documents submitted by winning bidders, such as forged performance certificates, that, in some cases, were corroborated by complaints by other bidders.

Typically, contract awards are based on the bid evaluation report (BER) and recommendations of the Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) under the auspices of the project’s PSA. Yet, for at least three tenders of equipment, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) installed a special steering committee comprised of MOHFW officials, officials from the PSA, and technical experts to review bid submissions and recommend bid awards. The DIR found that the steering committee’s evaluation of bids frequently differed from that of the BEC and exhibited indicators of non-transparency, preferential treatment, and other corrupt and inconsistent practices. Further, the MOHFW always followed the steering committee’s recommendations, repeatedly overruling the BEC (It clearly shows how corrupt our officers are. It is because of you Ch**** and BC people we have to pay this much tax and pay 60+ rs for petrol. How on the earth we will develop if such corrupt practices keep going on)

The DIR found that substantial payment had been issued for almost half of the contracts where equipment was undelivered, delivered in a damaged state, or delivered with missing parts. Nonetheless, despite these implementation deficiencies, in some cases the PSA provided contractors with completion certificates that allowed full payment for unfinished or deficient work. ( yeah they sure will provide completion certificate, otherwise how on the earth they will get the money promised to them )

Orissa Health Systems Development Project

Implementation of the OHSDP’s civil works and equipment components also exhibited significant indicators of fraud. For civil works, the DIR, aided by a civil engineer, visited 55 project hospitals; at 93 percent of them, it observed problems like uninitiated or incomplete work, severely leaking roofs, crumbling ceilings, molding walls, and non-functional water, sewage, and/or electrical systems. Four hospitals were locked shut and entirely unused. (And they blame doctors for not treating patients in rural area. Tell me who will like to work in such work environment. You bastards want to eat all the money and when you don’t get results you come up with statistics showing lack of doctors in rural area. That way you allow more private colleges to set up new medical colleges and allow them to offer these private management seats to common middle class Indians at very high prices ranging from 20-30 lacs.) Yet the construction management consultants (CMCs) who supervised the work certified 38 of these hospitals to be complete to project specifications, and in February 2006 the Orissa Department of Health and Family Welfare (DOHFW) reported that work at 45 of them was complete. The DIR reviewed the project documents for 21 hospitals and found 10 cases in which the DIR’s field observations directly contradicted the CMC’s completion certifications.

For equipment, the DIR, aided by a biomedical engineer, inspected equipment at project hospitals and identified 17 types of equipment that violated project technical specifications, including five types of equipment that were hazardous. These units were procured from firms whose bids either omitted required technical compliance certificates or contained certificates that appeared fraudulent. The DIR’s review of the Orissa Auditor General’s OHSDP audit reports identified weaknesses in the project’s financial management and recordkeeping that created a risk of fraud and corruption. The audit reports did not provide a timely, complete, and transparent review of project expenditures—so much so that the Bank is still awaiting audit certification of more than USD 30 million in Bankreimbursed project expenditures.

Second National HIV/AIDS Control Project

The DIR’s review of the NACP II found:

1. indicators of corrupt practices in contract awards to NGOs, such as fictitious NGOs receiving contracts and government officials receiving bribes, (hello, gov is busy drafting jan lokpal bill, how can they take bribes :P) as well as a lack of meaningful controls for tracking disbursements to NGOs;

2. Deficiencies in the implementation of test kit and blood bank equipment contracts, such as poorly performing test kits and non-functioning equipment;

3. indicators of fraudulent and corrupt practices in the procurement of diagnostic test kits and blood bank equipment—particularly when conducted through decentralized procurement—such as similar bid prices and affiliated bidders; and

4. that while the Bank observed and initiated action on some issues subsequently identified by the DIR as indicators of fraud and corruption, its observations and actions were not always timely and not classified as possible signs of fraud and corruption.

The DIR received reports from

NGOs that procurement officials demanded and received bribes in exchange for awarding contracts to NGOs. The DIR found that many NGOs that received project contracts were not qualified to perform HIV/AIDS prevention services, and some did not even exist. (I am not shocked though)

The DIR’s examination of the implementation of diagnostic test kit and blood bank equipment contracts revealed a number of problems. Regarding test kits, the

DIR found that some of the test kits supplied by particular companies often performed poorly by producing erroneous or invalid results, potentially resulting in the further spread of disease or in the wastage of blood. (AIDS control karne chale ham....how the hell we will control this disease when we don’t even have a proper kit to diagnose the disease)

The DIR also reviewed 217 locally procured contracts, valued at INR 118 million (USD 2.6 million), and found that 82 percent by number and 88 percent by value contained one or more indicators of fraudulent and corrupt practices.

(a) similarities in the language and presentation of competing bids; (b) separate bidders with the same phone numbers and addresses; ( isn’t this a slap on our face??? These fucking assholes have no respect for our country; I am ashamed to call myself Indian now) (c) the award of contracts to firms that did not submit bids; and (d) substantial recordkeeping deficiencies.

Same issues of fraudulent, corruption, bid rigging are noticed in Tuberculosis Control Project & Malaria Control Project.

This is it. Web world is full of ongoing corruption and scandals exposed recently, but no-one have made any effort to bring these issues which are going on since long time. This is just an attempt to make everyone aware about, how poorly projects and programmes are implemented in India. Will new laws, janlokpal bill able to cure these problems? And even if we find people responsible for corruption and law, the main point is will the money recovered? If money cannot be recovered on time, anyone on the earth will do corruption in open. If I am getting crore at the cost of few years in jail, why don’t take a risk?

Falling in love really hurts, so better rise in love!!!

Once I fall in love with a girl coming to same coaching class. Cannot comment on how serious I was, but every moment I spent talking with her or looking at her made me mad, like we see in movies :P :P
Being expert of the some subjects really have its own advantages 1. you get instant fame in class and more important is 2. girls surrounds you.
Her was the same case, few quick answer in the class and she got my attention, which was not missed by my sharp radar system developed by years of experience. I should not praise myself for this but I really have the ability to put my idea in other person's mind and make one think it is his/her idea. So a little observation of her schedule and landing in front of her exactly at the times when she is alone which looks like incidental(that is nt ture) made us friend within few days.
This was the first fall, and after that the path is very sloppy. aaah....nothing happened as you people are thinking. I was forcing myself to fall in love....people say love is blind. Here I was intentionally falling in love. Actually she was so charming, cute and gorgeous I had instant liking for her from her first day in class. At one point I became so serious about her, I started thinking about pro and cons of marrying her. I laugh at those silly thoughts. I never dared to propose her, soon she shifted to another city. face to face meets were replaced with phone calls, time distance between them keep increase and reached a level when I had no trace on when we last talked.

So sometimes I give a thought to it, what would have happened had I proposed her. I start having day dreams about being with her which gives me immense pleasure for short duration before I come back to reality. that's when the real fall occurs. the pain of not having her as girl-friend- lover whatever you say it, is very heart breaking. Don't worry I am not one of those devdas types,I do shave on regular basis, I don't drink or smoke.In fact such falls occur with me every 3 months :P sometimes they are serious like this one, which have long lasting effect. But I love that pain - it is a sweet pain, which keeps bringing back sweet old memories and her lovely face which I love watching though my mind's eyes. After reading this whole nonsense you must be think where it is heading. Let me tell you "nowhere".

Wasn't blogging started to write non-sense which you cannot write anywhere else, which you cannot share with others any other way. My fev blog, sunday spicy, monday moody, friday fun and all such awards came very late. Blogging used to be much better before all this shit awards started. Today what I see is people blogging to get awards, fame, followers, comments, likes and what not. Where has the main idea behind blogging lost. Reading someone's blog is pain today because of all this add-ons and widgets flashing everywhere on blog. Why cannot we have simple blog. If award is what matters, this year IFFA is given to "dabhang". I think the best award should be given to movie which represents India or Indian culture. When I started blogging, everything used to be every simple- simple templates, no add-ons or widgets. Only nuisance was Google ads. People used to really share their thoughts, about their daily life, current topics. Today I hardly see post about themselves, how they live life, how they spent day, what funny -sad events happened with them. What I read is rat race going on to win so and so competition, get that award and what not. I am not targeting anyone here, I do have few very good bloggers as friends who frequently take part in competitions but they do make some quality posts also. I respect their views.

I have my own photography page. During the initial days of it I was over-enthu about it and I also got trapped in rat-race to get ahead. I tried the very famous shortcut " I like your page so you now like my page". It helped getting me some likes, but not fans. Soon I realized where I was heading, I learned the lesson, shortcuts have more of a negative impact than positive one. So I strictly stopped posting my page link on others pages. But I am in a dilemma now. So many photographers who have not yet come out of this trap come and post link on my page. the standard comment with the links are " wow amazing work , check mine" "love your work, also check my link and if u like it please like it" "good work, like my page here"
and what not. Now, the problem is why should I "like" the page? If I find the photos interesting, then there is no problem about liking it. But what if I don't find the photos interesting enough to follow him/her in future. Still should I like the page, just because he liked mine? and the more serious issue I have noticed is, such people don't even change the comment. One guy use to copy paste this same comment on every new page he finds "Love your work, check mine" followed by his link. So he really love others work? why cant they just be honest and tell that they want more likes, will u like his page ......why giving fake compliments. Don't you believe your photos will bring more like to your page, that you have to keep posting ur link on others page...
some of such fake likers have never taken pain to come back to my page to check my work. I wonder do they checked it in first place?? It is very shameful that such photographers are more busy promoting their page, and not giving enough attention on trying to get quality comments and compliments.
Other cheap way of promoting page is tagging others, believe me it is really annoying. I hate facebook for that. Someone tags you in some random photos, others start posting there and your notification is full of such spams...My friend, there is news feed available, and your post will be shown in the news feed stream, why tagging? they put you in a "what I am suppose to do with it" state.
This post is not targeted to anyone in specific, so please don't make a fuss out of it, and still someone thinks I am aiming them I really don't care when I know I am speaking truth. So If anyone is hurt by this post, you really need to introspect and make changes in future so you don't match with the description here.

Emptiness

I don't know why I am making this post. Or maybe I mean exactly opposite of what I have just written. Have you come across a situation when someone promised something to you, something you wanted so much for long time and finally when the time comes you are deprived of it. Isn't it painful, not having it. I just experienced something like this. No matter it is very much imp or trivial thing, but I believe that when you promise something you need to fulfill it or have a valid reason for not doing it. But I was given none, and I am still waiting for explanation. It really make me sad, seems like all the dreams I had based on that thing are shattered. But rather than getting angry I am laughing, laughing at myself. I see myself as getting fooled here. Above all I am such a dump, I believed that someone twice. As if One slap on my face was not enough.

Dear, If you never intended to do what you said, why on the earth you tell me you will not disappoint me this time. I do not have that much right to get angry on you, So have to say only this thing to you.

I confess I desperately needed your help, but that doesn't mean you can do whatever comes in your mind. From my experience I can say, you are very careless person, you hardly care about others. I think I will not able to ask such help form anyone else, just the thought of passing through this experience again make me shiver. maybe I am making big issue out of nothing, but what is nothing for you is something imp for me.

Smoke photography tutorial

After getting few request for tutorial of "smoke photography" here it is...
First of all, smoke photography is not as hard and complex as it is shown. It is very simple to click smoke and capture those amazing shapes the smoke creates. You just need right gears and lot lot of patience.
I am giving the list of the things you need for smoke photography

1. Black background - for that you can use dull black cloth. Even if it is your old used tee, don't worry about it...it is not going to show up in snap.

2. powerful torch - Must along with inbuilt flash of camera. If you have flash light with code to burn it from remote location it is better, but then person having all such gears won't be interested in reading this tutorial. :P

3. Obviously a camera, but it does not have to be dSLR only. any digicam will work fine.
and I don't have to mention incense and tray to collect the ash.

Arrangement -

Put the incense 1 foot away from your black background.Make sure your background is uniform enough. Incense should remain stead throughout the photo-shoot, so the natural design made from smoke is not disturbed. Put the torch below the incense in upward direction, such that it lit up the smoke that is seen in your view finder. In short part of the smoke which you want to capture should be well lit by torch light.

Using tripod to hold the camera is best option, but even if you don't have tripod it is ok. I used pile of books to put camera on. Improvisation :) :)

Camera setting

For dSLR- F stop - 15+ because smoke don't ask you about which way to go, so higher the f stop better.
and shutter speed from 1/60 to 1/100
manual focus. Please don't use auto-focus, because of very low light available camera gets confused, I think you don't want to waste time on that and end up missing the chance of clicking the beautiful shape of smoke.
But you need to take few shots in full light on auto-focus to get the focus right. Once you are satisfied, put the camera on manual focus. Don't change it then onwards.

Digital-cameras- If you have facility of manual mode, you are lucky enough. follow the above tip.
Those who don't have manual mode, you need enough light on smoke get camera's attention only on smoke. You can use extra torch for that. Once camera have focused on smoke, it will not waste much time on autofocus in future snaps.

Flash Light - on. dSLR - put it on "Full" mode instead of "ttl".

zoom enough to have your LCD/viewfinder filled with black background only. I always take photographs at 45-55mm range. Digital camera user can zoom 1.5x.

Hurray....you are ready to take the photos...
I will make another post about the tutorial of editing. till that enjoy clicking.
At last but not the least, You will not get very good results in first few clicks. So please don't give up. Check the photos and find-out where you need improvement.

Book- "chanakya's chants" by Ashwin sanghi
The book is actually have 2 plots together. One of the story is about the real chanakya while the other plot is about a wily person having sharp and political mind , who is playing same role like chanakya in todays life.

First few chapters are really very interesting, about the birth and childhood of chanakya. In other plot about growing of gangasagar. When chanakya is busy making plan against the king of Magadha, doing playing all the acts of politics, and opening all the doors no matter right or wrong. We can get the same type of story going on in gangasagar's life, by almost following the same path chanakya walked on. When chanakya was on his path to take ravange of his fathers killer and give justice to indian poor people, gangasagar was having aim to be the king of India by reaching the top position in india, directly or through his friend , follower whatever..

Author seems to have done enough research and have gathered good amount of knowledge about chanakya and have written very good story about him. you learn a lot through the novel about the chanakya, but his other plot disappointed me here. I was expecting the author to come with some bright and fresh ideas and planning, but all I see is some same old type of political play going on. At some point in novel you know beforehand what is about to happen. Some ciche filmy dialogues making the plot little irritating at time. Gangasagar is more or less depicted as god father rahter than chanakya.
Over all rating 4/10
Next book on list is "the fortune at the bottom of the pyramid" by C.K prahalad.

Season 2010 ended with some happy and sad tones....but thanks to lord Shreeji bawa, I am feeling very happy today, even after scoring pathetic scores in CAT, NMAT, SNAP and IRMA....but it doesn't matter now...Getting things after a struggle makes them more important and precious. Let the IIMs have these weird cut-offs and academic criteria, I am ready to give CAT one more time, with better prep and confidence.

Today on my birthday I thank my family, my lord krishna, my friends and everyone, who supported me at every phase of my life, encouraged me and helped me achieve my goals...

I have following things going on mind
1. Enjoy my job
2. Start earning from photography
3. Preparing more and more for IIMs
4. come up with some nice stories and good posts on blogger.

has cat 2010 results leaked?? check it yourself

CAT aspirants are in quandary. It seems cat results are leaked before the actual date of the official release of cat results. CAT results are yet to be declared on 12th of January. But the rumor is that results are hacked by someone, and can be accessed by the following link.

When trying to visit catiim website, it says " update work is going on, please visit again..."
No official confirmation or comment has arrived about the hack rumors. So according to me it is good to wait for confirmed news from IIM

.Updates cat conveyor, Himanshu Rai, says the results are not yet uploaded , so how can anyone see it. But then if results are not uploaded, how everyone is able to access the personal data they provided for the test.
Below is the image how the results look like...

Updates - Himansu rai says that some students could have accessed results over a brief period between last night and today morning. “We yesterday started the process of testing out the process of uploading results. If during the period we were testing, someone put in their details, they may have accessed some result details,”

So the results seem to be more or less authentic.

How to Increase sharpness in photoshop

So many times we don't get as sharp imagines as we wanted. you went to a very good hill station, took some snaps and one of the best one is not having a good sharpness. Now you cannot go back to there frequently. So photoshop comes in handy at that time. you can use one of the following methods to increase the sharpness of the images.

!. You can directly change the sharpness from the Filter>sharpen>sharpen.
But all know about that very well, and I don't have to write a post for that. But recently I learned one nice method to increase the sharpness without making it much obvious.

2.
Step 1.Open Image in photoshop.

Step 2. Change the color mode to Lab from Images>Mode>Lab color.

Step 3. Go to Windows>channels. You will see following image

Step.4 Click on the "lightness"
Step 5. Go to FIlter>sharpness>unmask sharpness

I did the following changes...you can try what ever suits with your snap.
Generally don't increase amount more than 150..
Keep Radius between 1-3

Most IMp > change the color Mode back to RGB. Images >Mode> RGB color
Final result

Extra steps
Step 1. right click on the image>duplicate layer> 0k
Step 2. Change the blending mode to "overlay".

Total 4 sections
QA- 40 Qs, 40 marks very easy, doable. with 1-2 wrong Qs also. So they will not be counted.
LR- 30 Qs, 60 marks very very easy, a person with good speed and practice of LR can score around 50 very easily.
GK- 40 Qs. 40 marks. Well prepared aspirant can score around 50 % . Around 10 Q were easy.
English- 40 Q marks. Short but difficult RC. Qs based on basic grammar, idioms, fill in the blanks, etc.
20 around Q were very easy.

This post is about his interview experience at IIML in his own words. I hope this will sure help medical students ( medicos) preparing for the CAT and aiming IIMs.

hey guys..
had my L call on 1st feb, mumbai 2 p.m.

profile first:
99.95 in cat, all calls
10th 87%
12th 90% (both CBSE)
MBBS 72% (Guj Uni)

~27 ppl called at the 2 pm slot.. 3 panels
dress code: all guys were in ties and formal shirts (light) and dark trousers (one or two exceptions).. and most also had dark suits on. there were two girls, one in formals (shirt and trousers) and one in salwar kameez.

GD: topic was Good things always start with good thinking. think for 10 mins and then start writing guys.. 20 mins is quite enough to write it up.. immediately they start the GD.. ours went very well.. everybody was calm and still active.. one of the better gds i have attended.. last 5 mins were a drag though and we were all waiting for the mods to say stop :-) then they asked the guy who'd started to summarise..

as i took my seat,
P1: so rohan.. mbbs huh..
me: yes sir (rather emphatically.. and tht mood stayed throughout the PI and i decided to tone it down a bit next time onwards.. felt i was somewhat non-chalant and casual.. )
P2: give me your certificates please..
me: sir..
P1: looking at the data form: rohan i though in mbbs there is no specialisation..
me: yes sir.. thats right..
P1: then why have you mentioned med, surgery, gynec?
me: sir those are the subjects since its written subj/specialisation
P1: oh then you must have checked off specialisation (rather sternly, but i didnt realise then he was cross)
P2: give me some proof of how your university calculates percentage from cgpa
me: sir my uni doesnt award cgpa.. this is absolute percentage and my marksheets are there for you to tally..
P2: ohho.. then you should have checked off cgpa na (the column is cgpa/percentage)
me: o sorry sir.. (i thought they had started to stress me.. but since i didnt realise it then.. i kept laughing and smiling through the whole thing and guess twas good coz then the interview started)

P2: (to P1)Gujarat Univ. has colourful marksheets.. like rohan himself :dontgeti: (did he see me chatting with one of the girls upstairs?? :sarcasm.. just laughed it off..
P1: national level geography quiz?? reading frm the data form..
me: (laughing) sir tht ws way back.. 9 yrs..
P1: so what.. its natl level..
me: yes sir.. first we were trained at geog dept of GU for 2 days then there was state quiz where we ended second then natl level where we didnt get any position..
P1: hm..

P2: so rohan your parents pushed you into taking medicine..
me: no sir.. they didnt push me actually.. but i was sure they would love it if i would take medicine.. and that was one strong reason why i actually did..and they actually were very happy then..
P2: so now they must be quite upset
me: no they're very happy even now.. dad was always very cool with the idea.. mom was a little circumspect initially but she also was fully convinced in 5-6 mths..and last 2 years they'v fully backed my decision.. and thats why i could come till here..
P1: rohan apart from medical sciences which are your fav subjects.. :dontgeti: what would i have studied but medicine all these years??
me: sir mathematics till 12th std, i loved it.. after tht didnt get a chance at any non-medical subject...
P2: but do you think you'll be good at the math thats reqd in b-school and then afterwards as a manager..
me: (before i start to answer he looks at my 12th marksheet and says oh 97 in 12th. thts good) sir, i believe i can learn mahs very easily so it will be tough initially but i'll put in more hard work..

P1: so tell me something abt your family
me: sir, my parents are both doctors..
P1: ohh.. so thats why you became a doctor..
me: laughing, no sir thats why i am here..
and this was the turning point.. now onwards p1 who was till now warm and smiling became stern..
P1: why?
i handled this part very clumsily.. a really bad answer
P1: rohan how did you come to the decision of doing mba?
talked for 2-3 mins.. gave telemedicine as one of the examples and he seriously questioned the role of mba in telemedicine.. i tried to explain but he didnt quite like it..
P2: will you join tcs if given the chance?
me: an emphatic no which i thought he liked.. but cant say..
P2: so you want to stay connected to health sectorl..
me: maybe.. but its ok to work anywhere as long as i learn some basics of business and how things work.. i can join any good company to learn these basics coz my long term goal is entrepreneurship..
P2: eyes lighting up, entrepreneurship?? its a bit premature to ask, but wht do you think are the essential elements of a good entrepreneurial initiative?
me: :dontgeti: sir i have not read and cant comment perfectly but this is what i feel.. mentioned a few things.. seemed satisfied.. cant say though..

P2: from the gd it seems you're a prolific reader.. you mentioned some books..
me: sir actually i havent read tht book, my dad had read and told me abt the incident which i mentioned dunno wht made me speak this..
P2: oh, smiled.. so which subject in humanities do you like..
me: behav sciences (same comment as above )

I tried water drop photographs first time. I tried various methods, tricks and lot of patient to get some snaps. They are not best, but I liked them because I clicked them with minimum equipment. some tips for photographers not having flash gun, tripod.

1. If don't have flash gun, you can use a flash light or torch used at home. take care that you focus on the part where you are planning to drop the water drops.

2. water dropper is a main requirement for such photographs, but if you don't have water dropper with controlled release facility, try simple water bottle. Make sure the hole is not too small or too big.

3. If no color is mixed with water, put red, blue, green, etc colored back ground to add color to the photograph.

4. if using in built flash, keep it on manual mode, and use 1/4 or 1/2.

5. keep f stop at max to 7. 5.6 and lesser f-stop will produce nice snaps.

6. shutter speed should be around 1/100.

The new "block buster" movie "ROBOT" is touching new records in box office, at the same time facebook, orkut, emails are flooded with the jokes about what rajni can do. The most boring one is "Rajnikant makes onions cry" Even I started crying after reading as status massage of every 3 out of 10 facebook user. Some lines we can put in the same category are

PGites were not bothered with either For the record, Ref No is the Roll No. and there is no Case study.. there is however an essay writing on a general topic.. you have 10 mins to think and write at the end of which papers are mercilessly snatched 10 mins is a good idea.. 30 at lucknow was simply too stretched.. topic was worsening female to male ratio in india

Golden Sunrise of Freedom

Every sun rise give freedom from the darkness of night, and brings a new hope and joy with its golden rays.
Note- This snap is more than a sunrise snap. I tried to included as much elements of nature as I can. Water, tree and sun. Pictures are said to be dull without life in it, specially human elements. But this picture itself is perfect without the human, making it completely made of just nature, nothing else.

"Not possible buddy"

"are you sure??"

"nah nah, She is some different girl yaar"

This was going through my mind when I saw her at the bus-station. She was the same girl I got attracted towards, few years back. I never approached her, and so never knew where she is now...

Suddenly I saw her at the station, and started thinking about her ( besides that I was already getting bored looking at the strangers running in different directions to catch buses).

When My bus came, without giving much thought, I just occupied my seat, and started listening to the songs. This is the best pastime or a better thing to do rather then hoping to have a beautiful damsel next to your seat, which I have concluded from my 100+ trips on the same route.

But to my utter surprise and other married, unmarried males' bad luck, she occupied seat next to mine.

What else I needed to confirm that she is the same girl, than her close look. My grey cells started working, it was an emergency call, holidays of all the systems enjoying the vacation were cancelled. Goal was

" what should be the starting line?"

That day I realized, learning medical books is far easier task than this one.

"hi, I am kunjan do your remember me?'' - " no , who are you?" ( with a look at her face dare you ask next question) leave it

" you were going to the xyz sir for the maths class right?" - "everyone goes there, he is the only sir in the town taking classes for maths"

"you look as beautiful as you were 3 years back" - I can have a complex algorithm for her response to this statement.

Before my poor mind could come out with some fanciful, useful opening statement. TT came and asked for the tickets and the name of the occupants. As soon as the TT left, she just kept looking at me and said

" are you the same kunjan, who used to go to xyz sir for maths classes?" well I can answer this with " then where else, he was the only one" But then I never wanted to remember it as my biggest mistake of life.( sometimes third parties help you to enjoy the "kabab" rather than being a "kabab me haddi" I was thanking TT in my mind")

Before the stimulus from auditory nerve reached my mind , my lips did their job perfectly with a smile

"yes, how do u know that?? "

"well, I have seen your maths and science mock papers so many times, Sir used to show your paper as a model papers.".

and the talk just started like that, it just went on for few hours...We talked about past, present and on lot other topics. I even dared to ask her for her cell number, which she gave happily. I was on the cloud no. 9. As the time went, she started feeling sleepy. So after some silence she closed her eyes and fell asleep soon, not knowing what she had done to my sleep. I started day-dreaming( at mid night).....

"is she really attracted towards me or just likes me as a scorer" whatever, but I have to act now, I will propose her at an appropriate time.

"I will propose her like this"

" I will send a cute teddy-bear as a gift"

" how happy and cute she will look when I will give her a chocolate whenever we meet."

Something touched my left shoulder and I came to reality from my dream world, I got excited to see her head resting on my shoulder. May be she was having a deep sleep or may be she was doing it intentionally??

OMG, what If this is intentional. Now the element of confidence was getting mixed with my dreams. She had crossed her hands in front of her body, maybe because of cold wind. I closed the windows without trying not to move my left shoulder, and with much difficulty brought out my "shawl" to cover her, to make her sleep more peacefully.

That was such a great moment,never in my dreams I had thought about it. Her hand was resting on seat between us, don't know why but I just took her hand in my hand, she didn't even moved, and to my surprise she also held my hand with tight grip. Maybe because of cold, whatever but I liked it. I soon fell asleep, feeling her soft fingers and continuing with my day-dreams.

When my sleep got disturbed by lights and TTs shouting, we were about to reach the destination. I saw that we were still holding each others hands. I removed my hand and after some time she also got up. Soon we reached the station.

It was an early morning, so I offered her to drop her at her place, obviously by rickshaw. I wanted to spend as much time as possible with her, and how can I miss that chance. But big shock came with her answer,

she pointed to one boy coming towards us and told,

"thanks, paar actually my boyfriend is here to pick me up"

I felt like I had hit the ground from the height, everything I thought, dreamed during journey suddenly became impossible, my heart was broken. My face suddenly became pale and some how I managed to say "bye bye"

before I broke into tears. And before she realized my condition, I turned around and started walking away from her. I wanted to go as far away as I can from her.

The first thing I did after turning my back was to delete her number. Some stories just end, they never get started.

These are few examples of the responces from different people. Lets evaluate who is enemy of "aam-aadmi".

There will be a huge economic loss, till now "aam-aadmi" is not benefited from bandh. contrary to that, he will bear the loss because of bandh. Who is to blame??

1. Politicians. Oh!!!! come on , How can you blame someone who dedicated his whole life for the society. Here is the list of unforgettable achievements by them, for India-

"tell pak to act against terror" well finally after a long decade, Our sleeping-lazy-fearful government is awake. But just telling USA wont be enough. Manmohan Singh did a great job mentioning about the fact. But what about the money USA is providing to pak in name of "anti-taliban" activities. USA don't know that pak is using most of that money against india?? money is used to feed the terrorism??How will USA act against terrorism when they themselves are providing fund to (na)-pak??

I hope USA will think on the situation, rather then just thinking about their own benefit.

funny/annoying incidents during my bus journies

I have to travel a lot through bus to go home, So I have lots of such experiences which are funny and some of them are very disturbing. Giving few example of them

1. In bus having push-back seats, when people are finding the switch to push the seat back. sometimes aunties push the back side so hard, it looks like they want to remove it rather than push it backwards.

2. When love-couples try to cover their face to hide them during their french-kissing sessions.

3. When a overconfident, trying-to-be-smart, comparing him with Hritik,SRK type boy is standing near bus, smoking cigarette to impress girls and giving a look like I-am-the-hottest and smartest-guy-you -will-ever-see.

4. when a boy sitting besides a papa-mumma's girl want to start conversation with her, and the girl is like papa-said-dont-talk-with-strangers.

Most annoying
1. when the person sitting besides you start using your shoulder as a public property no need to say during his sleep. ( applies to male only, not for fair sex)

2. when driver dont want to understand where to stop the bus, keeps reminding you the bus-rules, like we Indians never break the rules.

3. when a person sitting besides you start coughing at your face, without covering his mouth.

At last, Thing I hate the most,

When poor Indians are waiting for bus, with too much luggage; small children; female members, during midnights or under a burning sun.

Chapter three..jise dhundhta hu me har ghadi, muje he mili na wo kahi..
after two successfully unsuccessful love stories I was feeling like an idiot, but I am idiot which makes it feel better. well my suffering period dont hold much longer, soon I changed my school to another town, situated within the great forest of Gujarat.
First few days of school were like sitting with some aliens trying to adjust myself with new environment, but my love for maths ( which itself is a love story without end) made me famous within a short duration. soon got the chance to sit with the most beautiful damsel of class because of rule of sitting according to performance in weekly test. Till now she was the first ranker, I replaced her, but despite of hating me ( like every girls do on such occasion ) she noticed me and became very good friend, which lasted for a whole one year with some very sweet moments. ended abruptly with same reason it started ( changing school ) the best thing about this story is I never got chance to say bye bye to her, today I dont know where she is, what she is doing, and she still remember me or not...but I love it that way!!!!

7 chapters of my 7 love stories part-1

One of my friend told me regarding absence of any love story in my blog, so during this waiting period for cat results i decided to write this post. When my own history is full of one sided,( because none of them ever transformed to two sided, now I regret for not even trying to let the other side receive my signals)"true" love stories, of which longest which lasted was 2 years, and hopeful if this time my luck with lady decide to be on my side, latest love story will be the last one. If Guinness book of world records have any such category named, "sustaining highest number of heart attacks" I would had tried proposing each on this damsel, to get rejected. Any by any chance if at that moment if she is out of her mind, i could have better chances to getting yes. But in that case also number of heart attack won't reduce, because it is proven fact that, happiness ( unexpected) also can be a reason of it. But when I tried finding probability of it, denominator end up with infinity.

Chapter One- ek tha raja ek thi rani....

First love of my life, at age of around 7-8 years, when I was in second standard. Before any doubt starts developing in your sharp brain about the authenticity of this indigestible fact, I was not knowing the meaning of this scary word "love" , but out of those 30 funny characters of which I was also a part, I remember only her. I don't want to disclose her name here, because even if at age of 24 she finds it interesting to be center of attention even at the age of 7, her husband, bf , especially her brother and father will find it least interesting and beautiful. Apart from that, I don't want to be victim of their emotional frustration, by provoking them."Angel"is the best name I can give her, to give enough justification to her angelic beauty. specially when she used to come wearing white frock like barbie girl on Wednesday, when uniform is get spared to be washed. Proposing her was the can be the wildest of idea a 7 year old brain can have. Before my brilliant brain get chance to think about it, I was transferred to others school to start my second love story.

Chapter two-wo pehli bar jab ham mile...

List of total number of schools I have studied in is longer than total love stories, maybe that's the reason having such a bright career in field of social relationship. Don't be shocked, One of my friend was used to fall in love in every standard. But he started in 5th standard, so both having equal score. So it took me just one day to fall in love again. I can put this love in category of "love at first site", which save time truly said by bipasha in race. But being a beginner, I was not enough skillful to take this advantage. I can't tag her as "most beautiful girl" of class, but she was ( maybe still she is ) beautiful girl. But she was the most famous girl in whole school, because of added features. First, she was first ranker of class, but major contribution for her fame was from the fact she was going to "usa". During 90s when you have to pay 15 rp per minute for mobile. Having land-line at home was matter of proud for middle class family, someone going to america was like a talk of town. But having past of english medium till 3rd std( these school being gujarati medium school,) I was getting enough of attention by class specially by her.But before I climb the first step"friendship" of ladder she was pwe.......to america, ending my only love story belonging to "love at first site".

May be I am going mention about pagalguy website first time here. When I decided to write about it, I got confused about title, but soon I got it. Got this addiction one year back, when my idol shashank prabhu introduced me to the great site. Started my journey there knowing him only and today I know so many really cool, fodu, and brightest of brain of India. I dont want to list any of them here...list is very long and it is keep growing day by day. daily bakar, monthly PG meets at ahd, thnking someone, getting thnks and groans, are part of life now.Thnks all pg member for sharing this memorable journey with me.

So the biggi is over...i belled the cat. lets see what fate is decided for me. With all cat chaos going on, people not satisfied with content, environment, repeated Q, seems like CAT will soon loose its charm as the most venerable exam of India. cant comment the same about IIMs. Because I am in love with IIMs, and with 42 attempts next 12 months of my life totally depends VA accuracy. And IIMs and prometric have no interest in taking retest. they are determined to go with this failure. I feel sorry about those who became part of this disastrous moments. When prometric is claiming 2.1 lac aspirants " successfully" completed the test, I doubt they ever thought about student psychology.

When ever I have asked any Mba student or one who gave cat once, always give one advice, be calm, all depend on how you keep yourself in that 135 minutes. I have seen people who always were among topper of aimcats, not getting deserving score in cat and I also have example of people, with 60 % in 12th..around 70 %ile in mocks getting to IIM...because it all depends in that 135 minutes of life. But it seems IIM ( the best management institute of India )and prometric are missing this. whatever, My words wont give any justice to those who suffered, but atleast if someone responsible enough, will read this maybe next year the picture will change, it will be more organized and without element of embarrasing issues. The least they can do is dont repeat questions.

FINAL YEAR PART 2

Today exactly after one and half year when I am going to write about final year, I am getting the same nauseating feeling I was having during final year. I don't know about others, but I had my own ways to deal with such situations. I started my final year with great enthusiasm. Still wondering where it come from. Because I don't find any reason for it. I was not in love with any girl in my class. ( love usually make people doing things they never used to do). No!!there was no chance that suddenly a hardworking kunjan was borne out. May be it was the fear which can enter a stone heart. But my brain worked stronger than heart. It overcomed such rubbish feelings of hardworking and all, and prevented the great damage which could have occurred otherwise!!!!!So after being a typical medico for mere 20 days I was back on my right tract. It was a sadistic pleasure or what I don't know, but it is amazing feeling I used to get watching psychic medicos wasting their life doing nothing other than reading. My pleasure turns out to irritation when I find medicos trying to remember so rare topics with great details. Being a great fan of Einstein I used to follow his word " Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school."It was very hard to follow him. After all following genius is never a easy thing. Path to success are always hard!!!!!

But life was really busy in final year. Wards in morning was the greatest pain in life. Actually all wards are not always bad. paedia and gynec were relatively bearable. Now some ghastly character will start saying," so ,finaly he is on the right topic." No man, gynec wards are never what you think. I hope you must have heard Dinkar's joke. And unfortunately that is reality also. But most beautiful thing about gynec was Resident Doctors.( mostly of them from opposite sex)Here we get two benefit.

1. one or two of them is always extremely beautiful so lectures are not as boring.

2. they don't want to impress girls ( taking into consideration they are straight)so they don't scold you in front of everybody all the time,for which surgery bastards are infamous.

But there is one more reason. gynec wards were really like a learning center. I learned a lot there. gynec figures of mortality directly reflects the whole picture of Indian health sector. It is the gynec where you come to get in touch with social problems prevailing in India. pathetic male:female ratio, poor nourishment, poor awareness about pregnancy care, child care, sex, immunization..list is endless. And special remark to the member of community who are always reluctant to donate blood.In more than 50% cases, other communities have given blood to the patient from your community. so if you read this and you feel indignity, better donate blood to remove this black dot. It is the gynec ward where you can find educated girls coming for aborting proving the awareness about safe sex among young generation of India. Here you can find daughter-in-law being accused by her mother-in-law for not having male child( I still wander what the hell this old, orthodox illiterate, superstitious "buddhies" will get from a male grandchild. She is gonna die before he turns to 15).But height of disgust arise when you find husband answering gynecological questions asked to his wife. ( even if asked my female Dr.)How the hell he can describe what type of pain his wife have, what she feel about it and all. But this is India. Male dominated country. Where females are considered as dolls who dance on your fingers. Well not going in the same details now. I started writing about my final year and ended where. But if this few lines can make any positive change in anyone, it is worth writing. This post must be boring. Nobody wants to read "cry" stories,than hope with me that no writer need to write it again in future.

FINAL YEAR

But what he said was the funniest thing I have ever heard from any one. I have seen many parents making so many efforts to let their child study in good colleges, but no one like this. His answer was,

“No no…. it is not like that. I have “booked” a dental seat for my daughter in Bangalore. But, now my eyes are opened. I do not want to happen this to my son, who just passed his tenth. So I am gathering information about good colleges.”

I do not want to write about my condition at that time. Some things are better unsaid.

When I completed the third first, the real dragon was waiting. If the reader is having friend or relative in mbbs, just ask him how it feels being final year student of mbbs. However good you or your scores are, this is the battle zone, where you fight for life or death. Here you are just attacked by the lethal weapons like medicine and surgery. No fun is allowed now. Every single day is counted, people start seeing you like a soldiers, who is about to take part in war. You are not allowed to be seen at malls and multiplexes, especially during last six months of final year. Sitting in the common hall and watching TV was out of question. Seniors will look at you with such a stare as if you made an unpardonable crime. In final year punch line for preparation is, “if you can start reading today, don’t wait for tomorrow.”

The million-dollar question is what is so hard about this final year, putting everyone on his nerves? You just need to have look at the surgery book. Somethings on this earth are endless, surgery is one of them.

After final year, I realized one thing and I will like to point it out.

1. Medical is not a big dragon or anything like that. anybody can deal with it, so can u.

2. People say you need to work very hard as medico, can’t get time for enjoyment. But according to me it is not like that. It is up to you how take it. Either, you keep yourself busy mugging books for five years and secure a PG seat or enjoy for 5 years and then read as if tomorrow is the end of life, for one year only.

INTERVIEW

So was the life in first year of life. Finals of first year came. I still remember those days when I hardly slept for 1 or 2 hours. Actually, these are the days the fans and lights in hostel rooms hardly get rest. Juniors become the help line in this particular time. They are busy bringing snakes and tea for us from well-known “samrat”. Anatomy was the biggest deal, again. Total eight books, including three big and five small books. I had to complete all of them in a single night. Taking statistics into consideration you can see if you read at one page/minute you need at least 24 hours to complete all the books. Here you get a single night. Just a single night, nothing more than that. Somehow, I managed it. So finals were also finished. I went home, enjoyed the vacation, faced the interviews, and met old friends…….

Second year, the longest year of mbbs, started soon, nothing changed except one more burden was added to make the life more miserable. “Morning wards” If anything I hate most about medical life is these wards. As a part of clinical study we all students are posted in different wards, like medicine, surgery, ortho, gynec, paedia, psm…….situation is like, every morning one of those smart pshyco (who managed to get into PG) will teach you one of the practical topics. However rather than teaching us they are always interested in history part. He will keep telling us to impress us, especially girls, whatever he mugged last night. For the next 4 years, I tolerated such headache every morning. Sometimes the level of torture increases when you are posted in any of the highly reputed wards for their “toxicity”. I hardly felt like a Dr during the ward sessions. They treat you like a school students. Always eager for history,” how many history have you written so far?” “Is this the way how you write history?” “Where are the daily notes?” Second year is like a double-edged sword. Here you can enjoy your life with full swing, because it last for one and half year, enough to prepare for all four subjects. But at the same time we are having busy days. From 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. people are busy in wards. Than lectures until 4 p.m. including recess time. Than practical until 5.30 p.m. So when the fun time starts we are already tired. Top to all these things, burden of vivas and exams is doubled. Regular exams are accompanied by ward practical. Life becomes hard because every single mark as internal is counted in final exams. The moment you miss a single exam you enter the danger zone. However, medicos are made to get used with such things.

If I tell about myself, I got interested in TT. In addition, like a saint I devoted myself to TT. I with yogesh always find time for TT. When my friends are doing my proxy in the class, I am playing TT in boys’ room. Otherwise, the entire thing remained same, second and third year passed like that.

I will like to add one incident happened to me, one day when I was reading in the library. The only noise”chi-chuu” heard was from the most outdated type of fans, you can find only in government buildings, spinning above me like it was about to die. Mosquitoes were daily habitant of library, no matter what season it is. They keep buzzing around you as if they are laughing on your status, generally harmless until they bite you. I was reading this core subject of third first, PSM (preventive and social medicine). Now PSM is the subject, which makes medico a warrior. Because when he read the subject, sometimes its vocab makes you feel like it is written in some Chinese language. He do not understand a single sentence, still he completes “ticked” questions, go to the exam, hardly know the answer of two or three questions, still keep writing, filling answer sheets, and snatching more than 50 marks. This makes him a warrior. Coming back to the story…. So when I was reading PSM, I got a call from unknown number. I picked up the call and I heard “hello kunjan” in an enthusiastic voice. He introduced me as relative of my fathers’ staff member' neighbor. His daughter just passed the 12th and he wanted me to help him to choose medical college.

He: “which one is the best college?”

Me: “BJ medical”

He: “how good it is?”

Me: “the best one in Gujarat.”

He: “ok. But they teach well naaa…”

Me: (though my irritation has just started I controlled it)yaaaa

He: “how is the staff?

Me (now this was the limit. I even do not know about BMC staff he is asking me about BJ staff.)yaa good

He: “they take the tests regularly?”

Me: (grow up man, this not a 12th science. This subjects are gonna tear your child’s brain before he will tear the dead body.)yaaaa

He: “how is the hostel facility?

Me: “good”

He: “what about food?”

Me: “best one” (now I was in a different mood. Mixing my irritation with fun)

He: “any problem of ragging?”

Me: “no way” (have you heard any shopkeeper telling you his he serve bad quality instruments.)

He: “what about transport facility from hostel to college?”

Me: “college is just nearby. So do not worry about it.”

So he kept asking me such rubbish questions until he was satisfied with it. I think he will stop now. But, his next question was,

He: “so, which one is at second place?”

This was ridiculous. My irritation was out of control. Somehow controlled myself and answered his questions. Set of questions was same again. He kept asking me such question for 20 minutes. He had asked these questions for almost every medical college of Gujarat. He was about to start his inquiry for Bangalore colleges also. Now the tension rising in my mind to read and complete the course was enough to stop him.

I asked him how much percentage his daughter got so I can tell him where she will get the admission. His answer was,

“She got 60 %”

I was like what to tell this person. He is seeking advice for a 60 % student. Asking questions like how BJ medical is.

Me: “sir, don’t you know your daughter can’t even get into a private medical college and you are asking me question about how medical colleges are. You wasted my 40 minutes and now you telling me your daughter is having 60 %. I am having exams soon. so please let me read now.

RELATIVES

Results came just after few days; I was waiting for it eagerly. Got 63 marks, highest was 78. Everybody was amazed except one person. ME myself. When lots of “muggus” and psychos made it hard to get 50+, I was having more than 60. That exam gave me short-term fame. However, that was enough to make me happy. During exam when I was looking here and there to kill the time, I saw that the CBSE beauty sitting below me was checking her answer. As it is well said, “opportunities are everywhere; it’s up to you how you take it." Therefore, I grabbed the opportunity. I marked the answers blindly copying her, enough to get 60+. So was the first written exam in my history of medical life.

Otherwise, there was nothing exciting except a rock show and a musical night until vibrant. Rock show was the event to try all steps of dance you know and musical night was just like a cheap pastime. In-between, I went home 2-3 times. There is always a typical situation at home; parents are having that million-dollar smile on their face, though they deserve that. The dreams I saw in their eyes, their every effort to make me best, help me and encourage me, deserve a lot more than this. What makes me irritate most is relatives’ behavior. Actually, I can classify them in the following category.

1. Well wishers, those really wanted to see you as medico. These are the only relatives I liked talking with, but due to my bad luck, there are very few of them. It is always same with every medico.

2. “First timers”, those who missed your success story long before; come to know about it when you meet them. Always welcome you with typical question, “are you in medical, MBBS?” First question is always followed by “where?” Generally, they are harmless, but their enthusiasm about knowing you and your degree better, makes you feel uncomfortable.

3. Unlucky mumma-daddy, whose son or daughter did not make it like u. The typical reaction is “well, apda baba ne to medical ma ras j n hato.” (My son was never interested in MBBS.) Alternatively, they will become total pessimistic, “there is nothing good in MBBS now. Without PG you don’t have any value.” (As if he knows that, I will just stop learning after my MBBS.)

4. This category contains hardest to convince type of relatives. These types of relatives are always eager to pour their knowledge to help you to choose your future path. “Gynecology is the best”

“Do specialization in ortho, my so and so friend’s so and so relative’s son did it. He is earning in lacs.”

“Be neurologist, I am having severe problem of headache.” (as if I will be the first neurologist)

“What???????, you want to be that “topi sunghanwa wala” DR?”

You can never tell them about your plans, because what they think is the only worth to do branch.

After some years, last three categories almost are mixed up. I cannot stop myself telling the typical interview I faces every time I meet any of such relatives.

R: So you are in which year now?

Me: final year.

R: ok. So do you have one-year internship after mbbs?

Me: yes

R: “to pachhi agal su karvanu chhe?” (“So, what is your future plan?”) “In which branch you want to do specialization?”

Me: (it is always hard to say this lie, knowing that clearing all-India exam is not piece of cake.) It depends on the merit of PG exam.

R: But you must be having some choice? (Yaa, I have the choice. I want to be the best radiologist of this country. Will you provide me the seat? Who gives a damn to choice here when you have to fight until death for getting rank in all India.)

After trying my best to have some productive answer to stop the ongoing debate, what I can hardly say is.: It is of no use to have choice, because there are very few seats and also 50 % reservation.”

R: then also, you should have decided about the branch. Well I think you should…………………………bla bla bla…………

I have faced this “interview “hundreds of times in last 6 years. From wherever the” interview” starts with, end is always the same. same bla bla bla mentioned above….

So, the life was going on like this, vivas were going on and we got used to it. But suddenly the first internals came. Ringing the bell of fear, it got all of us unprepared. From outside I was like let’s see, but from inside I knew that this exam is going to be the first written exam in English language in history of my life (it is itself a skill). That is the time when you are always knocking the seniors’ room. I was lucky enough to got helping people in this category. So I met these reputed fellows to seek advice, got the books “ticked”, and started my preparation for first battle with English. Actually, it was not a sort of preparation, because from seniors’ advices what I concluded was if you can draw good figures in exam, you would score well. I also figured it out that physiology was my favorite subject in first year (it will remain for lifetime). So, I was never worried about it.

Exams came, and first paper was of anatomy. Almost everyone was scared. Some rankers were pretending that they are scared. But if you look at the atmosphere, you see a typical picture here. And the same thing keep repeating for every exam. Every girl, yes I am not mistaking, every girl, is reading and mugging the hot topics for the last minute preparations. Some anxious guys are busy reading the topic they missed last night, even if they knows a lot thing about subject, they looks very depressed or in similar state, just because of the single question they missed. Somewhere in the parking, you can find group of friends discussing the question you hardly find in exam. Some “muggu” somewhere is impressing girls by telling such a dangerous name of veins that even a professor of the subject would like to revise them from book. Some lovebirds that were busy reading in the library since early morning are making their presence in the crowd. But the story not ends here. I have not mentioned the real category yet.

10 minutes remaining to the exam

Without taking bath, spraying him with body spray, unshaved, this person in on his way to college. But suddenly he realizes he is not even having a spare pen or pencil. So after buying all the required tools he is ready for the next 3 hours of marathon race. This guy is from the last category. I would like to say the royal category people. They do not care about reading things at last minutes. They are lazy genius. They believe in handling the emergency situations. They give the exam with one aim, that if you can 50 out of 100, life is easy. Life is cool. These people believe in Einstein theory that “education is what left behind after you have forgotten what you learnt in the classroom.”And these are the guys people like to be away from during exam days. generally they are always welcomed because of there cool nature and finding fun in every situation. But during exams muggus want to learn,while these guys want fun. So at last all this studs get together in 1 or 2 group, some muggus who realized there is no point reading now also join them to relieve their anxiety.But actually all this studs are confused. no no not because they have not read enough( that is but obvious no need to get confused there)but they are confused because others are reading so desperately when everybody knows that No author of any subject's any book has ever written a topic which you can understand and keep it stored in your hard-disk within 5 minute.But when results are declared it is now turn of other group( muggus) to get confused. "how the hell he got passed? the week before exam I called him and he was watching movie at inox" This is one of the reaction. so the thing is people scoring more than 60 are sad and those managed to get 50+ are more happy.

In my first paper I wrote almost of 85 marks, was not satisfied with my performance, but when I came out of hall everybody was in same situation. I thought everyone was performing poor so I need not to worry.

Other papers and practical passed in the same manner, except in anatomy practical where level of anxiety and fear was much higher than other practical. Well, the best moments during exam period are last few minutes of last practical. I do not know about others but I am always keen to get out of lab and just yell aloud,” exams over time for fun”

After exam two types of medicos are eager to wait for the results, one who are expecting some high score, second who hope to get some decent score. I hoped to get 40. Results of anatomy came first; I was not expecting very good score, so I did not even care to go to notice board. But my collogue gave me shock of my life when he told me that I got 51 marks. I told him “may be you are making fun of me or you saw someone others mark.”

But, fortunately he was right. I was among the 30 lucky students out of 180 to get the honor of passing anatomy exam. Score in physiology was also decent enough. However, I was failed in biochemistry. I expected it.

STORY ABOUT MBBS

Any ways let me tell you my story. Getting MBBS tag with name is the most beautiful dream a middleclass-son-daughter can have. However, that single word did enough to have me spent six years of my life reading and remembering all sorts of books full of Greek and Latin derived words. However, those six years taught me a lot new things. Memories of first year give me nostalgic feelings.. Among all different places like physio lab, bio lab, lecture halls and dissection hall, what I personally liked the most was the dissection hall. Hold on!!!!!!!! Before you start thinking in other direction let me tell you that I do not have any interest in anatomy.

Liking the dissection hall does not have any relation with anatomy (dur dur tak koi rista nahi he). It is just because of two special things which making it interesting. Either I am doing dissection, if not that than “gappas.” .the amazing thing about dissection hall is you always find someone explaining some hidden secrets of human body to other peers. So when some beautiful girl finds something new. She will start explaining and telling the details about her new invention, as if she found an alien in universe. Here newspapers or channels were never needed to spread the massage. Tell you the truth, Girls are the best radio stations, and within few seconds half of the class will be there around the table, crawling around the table to get the glimpse of the latest invention, coveting all short of details (like, its anterior and posterior and lateral relations and origin and branches and what not). Well the whole crowd is not only of "psychos.” Many other exciting activities are always going on in the background. Not to mention what, coz those who did it already know what it is. Simply saying when some beautiful girl is standing beside you (especially when resources are very limited.)How dare you can concentrate on study?

Frankly speaking, I never understood why everyone (everyone here means only psychos) was busy finding those branches of each artery and nerve. I had the idea that we do the dissection to have look at heart, lung, and all such big organs. Before being a medico, people are having all sort of fanciful ideas about dissection. For me what was there to see in those artery and nerves? However, people are having crazy ideas about dead bodies, but when they face the real characteristic smell of the solution in which dead bodies are stored in dissection hall, this typical smell becomes the first reason of annoyance for every medico. I have seen girls and boys fainting in the dissection hall not bearing the smell or not able to look at the most dirty scene of their life.

Another best thing about the dissection hall was it was the place when we used to do chitchat on lots of topics just to kill the time. When “enthu janta” were busy doing dissection, we MISFIT MEDICOS were busy enjoying the moments, talking, gossiping and what not.

However, medical life never keeps you idle; every subject is ready with their series of tests and vivas. The most heard sentence from seniors is "enjoy the life these days as much as you can, make girlfriends, watch movies, travel around whatever, because once vivas and tests will start you will get hardly any time for these activities." and suddenly that warning became true. Date for first viva of physio announced and we started the endless mugging process, which was about to last for six more years and few more years for 'PG unfit medicos”. Here in medical there are three thumb rules for getting good marks, reading, mugging and "jacking.” Jack was out of question, mugging I can never do in my life. Therefore, I was left with reading only. So the physio vivas came and gone. Nothing was exciting there. However, most medicos were never comfortable with anatomy. So when we had first anatomy written test (not written actually MCQ test). The real fear came to put all of us in worry. Forget the rankers and “muggus”, who here remember those tiny details of anatomy. However, the word MCQ kept me free from worry. Let us see what happens, let it come dear.

So the day came, papers were given, “janta” was busy filling the blanks and marking the MCQs. However, I, along with so many others, was having enough time to have a look at the whole class. Then something amazing happened. What? We will see later. When I left the exam hall, I was more than happy.

Answer to the million doller Q

Now think about this, I am sitting in the flight in business class; beautiful airhostess is serving the food on your demand. I can listen to any music or watch movie, to make the journey make comfortable.

Money and luxurious life are not the only reasons why I am changing my field. There are lots more. It is about being there, sitting among the best, extraordinary brains with sharpness of blade. It is about being the” faccha” of IIMs. It is about fighting and defeating the obstacles and make it to IIMs. It is about sitting with those son and daughter whose parents have one special and unique reason to be proud of their child. If you get it right, it is about honor, pride, and lot more. The toughest exam of the country having GD with 99%iler and at last having PI with mostly unexpected and hardly answerable questions. Nonexistent path for crore of Indians, dreamed by lacs, but open for less than two thousand only and being among that two thousand is the reason.

In fact, there is always a reason that is why IIMs have more science students (mostly Ers) than commerce students. Reasons are plentiful, some did fatal mistakes in past by choosing a wrong path ;someone is challenged by his GF; someone is tired of the monotonous work; someone thinks his inner strengths, beauty or skills are not utilized where he is working, someone just hate receiving orders from his boss, someone is having dream to be entrepreneur. Now please do not mix this with depression, failure, pessimism and all that scrap, because losers cannot think about IIM and on the other side they do not have place there. These are the reasons of those ambitious aspirants who want their own identity as one of the best manager of country. As it is said everyone is unique, but these people are on their path to prove it. They have only one thing in mind, “if there is a course named MBA, it is only in IIM."

I am telling all this only because there is one thing common among all the IIM students. Whatever is his/her background, how hard or smart he is preparing, there is one thing common.” DETERMINATION, DEDICATION and INDEFATIGABILITY” Three indispensable qualities required to “bell the cat.” Nothing can replace these qualities. This is the first step to be there. This is not a sort of advice to break the cat. Fact is I am not in place to give it. However, something from inside emboldened me to write this.

here I am writing after a long long time. reasons, don't mind. Here today after a long silent pause I am having some eccentric material to write here.

the "FAQ" I and all of the medicos( say misfit medicos new definition by GODHANI) facing here.
Why MBA after mbbs?
Even a garrulous speaker will be out of words when asked this FAQ. what to answer? but I have find it out.

here we go, say I am standing nearby a patient at 3:00 am when you are dreaming in your sleep,I am doing some obscure things with sleepy and exhausted eyes,taking blood samples or writing down the history, checking the BP with that hardly working sphygmomanometer giving those feeble "thud thud" sounds and lot more things. after completing all this bizarre work taking a satisfying look in the room and giving a signal of all done to my mind I am about to sit in my chair to rest to my aching legs, new patient arrives with lot of injures. So now lot more things are waiting for me to be done to keep me awake till morning. killing my dream to take rest I will start doing the things again( mechanically).

On the other side, I am sitting in the business class of flight, enjoying the music, reading the economics and doing every thing which I like.

which is better part one or the latter. decide yourself. but here is not the end of the game. there is lot more than this.will see that in next post. don't know when.

Before telling further about this dream let me rewind the flashback to the first few days of my life in Baroda. I remember exactly the date 21 September,2003. With so many blessings from parents uncle aunties, I started the my new journey to Baroda along with my colleague and friend Vipul, with lots dreams in eyes. The same dreams an adolescent have about his college life( which were never gonna complete ha ha ha... all filmy dreams) There was feeling of I AM SOMETHING.

And I started my first day of college doing something which I was about to repeat for next 5 years. I had been late for the first class of my college. The day came After spending 3 days in Baroda specifically on the roads of new sama carelessly and aimlessly .

25Th September. First day of college. Don't remember when we wake up..... but when we both, along with my mama as our parent, started our golden journey which is inscribed in my mind for lifelong, we were already late. Uncle and auntie who became our host for three days,were insisting to have breakfast. Like all these were not enough we had only one scooter to carry all three of us to college. But fortunately before we reached a big road, generally watched by those white-dressed public servants of India named "traffic police" we found one uncle going that way, who was generous enough to give life. Finally we reached the college.

But one more problem was waiting for us. Who was knowing from which gate to go to college. there were total 3 gates. So blindly we selected one to do " college pravesh", and all we managed to do was to reach the surgery building. After asking somebody where the college is we reached there, find the main lecture hall having capacity of 800 students, full of students and their parents.

Soon speeches( = bakar) got started from professors, which all was going above my head. Finally the dean came with his stick in his hand(his favorite accessory) and gave speech in Hindi. which was the only bakar I understood.

The time was passing unknown because of enthusiasm of meeting new classmates, with whom I have spent last 5 year. After all day went busy and at the end of day I was preparing mentally for the first night in hostel away from parents. Though, I never suffered from homesickness, first day at totally strange place with almost all strangers was a different experience. Initial nights at hostel are very busy there, and followed the same pattern everyday ( night). Seniors were more than ready to take "introduction" and give their. We had to remember all of their names, that was always the last task of so called "introduction". So the quest started to escape from the boring "introduction" sessions. Fortunately we friends found one place, which exceeded in our expectation of time-pass spot.

"DAIRY DEN" this was the place having some bright new medicos every night, to kill their time and also having fun looking those sexy and gorgeous beauties making cool nights more delightful.

How can I forget my final MBBS year(the word itself make me shiver), days with full of frustration, pressure and to top of all this a dreadful fear of being failed.We were those 20 medicos having different type of people like the most psycho, the most monstrous, most frustrated one( specialy dalal), one of the most beautiful girl of my batch( having a long list of diwanas)and girl with the most powerful "jack" of class......But the most beautiful thing about these 20 medicos was the higest number of " kathiyawadi dhumbas"( thats d word we used for us).And I am proud to be a member of that 8 dhumbas belongs to saurastra.

Surgery ward used to be the place where we had that silly talks or the more apt word will be future planning,of giving ielts for australia or giving gre tofel for social medicine in usa or giving USMLE.But whatever is the starting topic of the discussing( using this world for that " hathodas" is a insult of english) it always lead towards the best possible excuses for no willingness to give ALL INDIA. Godhani and vaibhav were the supporter of cat. This is how cat came into real picture and DR rohan desai became fuel of that fire.A medico with 100%ile. than why cant we just give it a chance?? When all those toppers and beauties were busy discussing and reading about all subjects,searching and asking for missing material from there vast treasure, gifted them from their seniours,we were busy pulling each others leg,which branch is better to do PG? ( the fact was only vaibhav had reserved a sit in PG)

But during final mbbs the dream was still in its embryonic phase. It soon started getting in shape after Final MBBS results.
